ABOUT THE ARTIST

Olivia is an Industrial Designer and lifelong ceramist. After apprenticing with Eva Zeisel for over a decade, Olivia designed dinnerware collections for Royal Stafford in the UK, retailers Crate and Barrel and others. Visit oliviabarry.net to see these works.

In 2020, she opened her Hudson Valley studio: Olivia Barry / By Hand, where she merges her industrial design training with the ceramic craft, challenging the material with her inventive interpretations in lighting and artwork.

Olivia’s work is represented in NYC by AM Collective, Rue IV in Washington DC, Hollace-Cluny in Toronto Ontario, as well as DustyNYC.com.

Her work can also be found at Gary Gibson in Los Angeles, as well as Belkind Bigi in Olivia’s hometown of Tarrytown, NY.

Custom Scroll Sconces for Amy Lau

Scroll Luminaire Sconces

The winner in the 2023 NYCXDESIGN awards in the Sconce category, The Scroll Luminaire Sconces are a wall-mounted style of the Scroll Luminaire table lamp. Hand-rolled furled ceramic hides the bulb while projecting the light onto the ‘wing’, providing bright, ambient light. Hardwired 3000k LED with dimmer driver.
